Slow living, a philosophy of life, including on the table

As you may have understood, Made & More passionately supports Slow Fashion movement and participates to its evolution everyday. That's not all. Made & More fights against the "fast living" concept but also against the fact that we run constantly, snacking on the go.

No more fastfoods or prepared meals to be reheated in the microwave! This winter, we take time to cook and eat quietly. Adopting this lifestyle is good in every way: stress reduction, promotion of local producers and food, better choice of ingredients and, above all, reduced calorie consumption (Ladies, It's time to think about summer, its bikinis and beaches!) While it is important to check your garments' label to know its origin, it is also paramount to choose and cook your meal with care, isn't it ? We looked at the Slow Food movement and have spotted some healthy recipes for you to prepare with your family and to enjoy slowly...

If you want the changeto be optimal, we recommend you to follow these first recommendations:

• Choose fruits and vegetables from the market or from the neighboring farm;

• Leave space for the "forgotten" products that are back in our plates;

• For the most motivated, embellish your terrace with herbs and create a vegetable garden;

• Chew slowly and breathe deeply between bites.

Ready? Made & More has put together a healthy meal to delight you taste buds...

Every good meal begins with an appetizer !

At Made & More, we eat healthy. Discover our cucumber rolls and homemade hummus.

Homemade Hummus

Time : 30 minutes
People : 10-12

Ingredients

• 2 chickpeas cans
• A garlic clove
• 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
• Up to half a glass of water
• 1 half teaspoon salt

Instructions

Remove the skin of the chickpeas by pinching them gently until the skin comes off. Set aside. Put them in a food processor or a blender with the garlic finely chopped, olive oil, ¼ glass of water and salt. Mix or reduce the mixture in a very smooth puree, adding water if the mixture is too sticky in the blender. Once the mixing is completed, you can add a little more olive oil to obtain a creamy texture. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste, spread it on slices of cucumber, roll them and it's over !

(You can also keep some hummus to dip pieces of carrots, cherry tomatoes, or celery)

Then, let's make an Armenian soup

Soup of coral lentils, cumin and dried apricots...easy and healthy. There is nothing better to enjoy a meal without feeling guilty !

Armenian Soup

Time : 20min
People : 4 to 6 people

Ingredients

• 1 onion
• 200 grams
• 1/2 teaspoon of coriander powder
• 1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder
• 80 grams of dried apricots
• 1/2 litre of chicken stock
• salt, peper

Instructions

Peel and mince the onion. In a pan, heat olive oil at medium temperature and sauté the onion for about 10 minutes. Add the spices during the baking. Dice the apricots and add it in the pan with the lentils and the chicken stock. Simmer for about 20 minutes, and don’t hesitate to add chicken stock if necessary (lentils tend to absorb water). Season with salt and pepper and mix the soup. You can add lemon juice when serving, according to your preferences.

For the dessert, vegan muffins !

Seasonal fruits are your best friends, either in a salad or in muffins (or even in your favourite ice creams or yogurts). This winter, you have plenty of choices : apple, peer, grapefruit and so on. To brighten this meal with a softness glow, Made & More thought of small apple muffins. The must? It is vegan. Of course, you can substitute apple with dried grape, chocolate or nuts.
